Title: Texian Backwoodsman
Post by: Malamute on 12 July 2012, 05:29:49 PM
John H Dillard travelled from Tennessee to Texas in the spring of 1830 with the promise of free land from the Mexian Government. Along with many of his countrymen he hoped to start a new life in the Mexican province. Sporting a Skunk skin cap and Buckskin clothes he cut a dashing figure in the backwoods of Texas. Six years later he would die on a cold morning in March within the shadow of the Alamo church.

He is a converted Boot Hill Miniatures Texian. I swapped out his orginal head for one sporting a coonskin cap from the new Texian Head set.

Blinkin' ek!! Not only am I reeling from the fact you have done something but also very surprised you had the time what with selling houses to all the folk stuck on the motorway ;D

Looks great and the head swap genuinely creates a totally different miniature

 lol

I am on holiday, so squeezed in a quick paint job. Just noticed a mistake on his coat, a slip of the brush. I'll have to tidy him up now. ::)

I am really Pleased with the alternative head, it does as you say really change the look of the figure. :)
