The DeepWars page has been updated with pre-orders options for DeepWars starter sets, akin to the original Kickstarter rewards, that come out to about 30% off retail. It is not as sweet as the deal for the original supporters but it is a nice discount. The complete starter sets with packaging, quickstart rules and cards are still in progress and are on schedule for October/November. Individual figures will be available soon also, with a pre-order discount of 15-20% off retail.

The page has the rundown on the figures that will be in the starter sets and has some background story for each force.
Here are some pictures of painted models coming out from Worthy Painting studio, who have been given the title of official painting studio, although I will probably paint a few here and there also. Also added is a sculpt of the octopod stealth mech.

LOVE that octo-tank thingy :o :o :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Agreed, the Octo-tank has a serious cool factor.
The rest look not VSF enough to me...

Can't wait to see what how the figure for that elementalist turns out.

It probably depends on which force you look at. The Fortune Hunters are more VSF than the Ancients of Atalan. The game is more fantasy than VSF so maybe I should have posted there.

The first ones look less fantasy than sci-fi, of a fantastic nature, mind you. lol
Always did think the latter were fine for VSF, though maybe with the addition of a few rivets here and there... :D
The lass may be a bit much, but there we'll bog down in the whole steampunk vs. VSF issue.

I'm not greatly interested in which page of the train-spotters' manual to put them on; they look great, both in designs and sculpts. If my ship ever comes in, I'd buy some, but sadly I can't commit now.

The last two minies (diving suits) are what inspires me. I would be interested to know how these scale in to other ranges (looking a their bases they appear to be rather too tall to stand next to standard 28mm minis).

They're about 32mm to the eye (center of faceplate).
