Title: Chinatown, SF shopping finds
Post by: Operator5 on October 12, 2006, 02:13:54 AM
Well, we just got back from our day down in Chinatown, SF. What a great place to buy spare parts for your Chinatown settings. I was dragging the wife in and out of the Import stores. Those little figures that would look great intemples that cost 3.99 - 5.99 anywhere else were at most just 1.49. I picked up some Foo Dogs, some Chinese Dragons, a couple of Buddhas and other misc. gods.

Now, besides the statuary, there was also two other finds. A wind chine that I will end up taking apart because it had some great Chinese roofs that will go on a Chinese Tower in my Chinatown scenario for .45 Adventure. I also found a little "hanging thing" that will also come apart and one of the pieces will be the bell for my temple.

All told, I picked up about 10-12 pieces for less than $20. Now I just need to make sure there is room in the luggage.

I'll be sure to get pictures when I get back.
