Title: Sir Batman
Post by: Whiskyrat on 25 July 2012, 11:53:15 AM
It think it looks great but I would have spent the £5,000 on new minis and paying for some-one to paint them for me.  lol

Seriously, who holds a real sword like that? Blunting the tip of the sword when fighting in that kind of armour basically makes the sword absolutely USELESS!!! Jeez man, jeez!

It is cool though.

yours pedantically,

Nah; it's a two-hander, so should be made for bashing and hacking, not stabbing. He'll be fine.

Fighting LARPers that is; the sword is obviously a stainless steel fantasy display piece, so a real tempered steel combat blade would shatter it after only a few good strikes. Hopefully it at least has a full tang, or things could be even nastier for this dark, brooding individual!

And the armour certainly looks the part, but with those unprotected thighs and elbows, he should be very, very careful, lest he'd risk having some major arteries cut and become even paler looking.

He would still be looking wickedly cool when being hacked to pieces though... :D

You're right; there might actually be rollerskates worked into that armour! Or else they're just very sensible shoes... lol
