Explorers of the Nile by Tim Jeal. I'm not well informed about the subject so I don't know how good the book is but I thought I'd mention it here. I'm going to give it a go at that price anyway:

I had the hardcover for Christmas. An excellent read, and very informative. Casts some of the major players in rather a different light to their traditional interpretations.

bummer.  Amazon UK only.  Apparently Kindles cannot cross borders

Normally I don't download non-fiction, prefering a real book - but at 99p I can't afford not to!

I've had the same issue in reverse - Amazon US have free Kindle book offers but not available to UK customers....
