Hello

We now have Prussian Infantry in greatcoats (yes, they're wearing them and not over their shoulder!), and Horse Artillery. We also now have available Austrian Grenzers and Insurrectio Infantry. The last were levies from the Hungarian Feudal lords, around 20,000 horse and foot fought at the Battle of Raab in 1809 along side the regulars.

All the best

Alan

I always thought that a Napoleonic army in greatcoats and shako covers would be quick to paint......  :o

These must be imminent, too:

Austrian (German) Napoleonic Infantry 1809-1815

The Austrians were unfortunately deleted from the plastic workbench by mistake…. but they’re back now! They are in tooling at the moment ( June 23rd) and will let you know a rough release date when we get the ‘thumbs up’ from Renedra the tooling company. We never release any plastic release dates until we get the go ahead from Renedra as to do so would put too much pressure on them and lead disappointment for the customers if the date wasn’t hit.

As you can see we have managed to fit an additional head with the Volunteer/ Landwehr Corse-hut on the mould too. I was unsure at first if we could get it in but we can! So there’ll be three types of headgear in the box.

There will be 48 figures in the box, flags, bases and a complete uniform guide.

The American Civil War Confederate Infantry will be next in line followed by the American War of Independence British Infantry.

The Austrians have been on the Perry website for some time now. My understanding is that the twins are aiming for an early fall release but the actual date is really up to Renedra, who do the tooling for the Perry plastics.

Marvellous!

Shame that they won't also be offering the Austrians in metal as well!

I'm almost tempted to buy some plastics when they come out but not quite.

Cheers,

Paul

We're happy to announce the release date for the plastic Napoleonic Austrian Infantry. It's late Sepember. As soon as we have the first shots in we'll show them to you. On our site we also have the fantastic cover art by the very talented Karl Kopinski and a few doddles by me for the painting guide. These you'll find on the plastic workbench.

We’re pleased to be able to show you the first shots of the plastic Austrian Infantry. These are fresh in you'll find them on the Plastic Workbench. The sprue will need a little tweaking, not a lot, and it’ll be ready. The command sprue is in it’s last stages of tooling so we should have the set available on time towards the end of September.

The command will consist of an officer, standard bearer, drummer, sapper and two NCOs. The box will contain heads for all figures with either helmets ( the helmet was last used in 1809), shakos (used from 1809-15) or the Landwehr corse-hut. Although the figures are designed for 1809 onwards as they have the 1808 higher-waisted coat, you could use them for the 1805 campaign if you ignore that detail......I won't tell anyone :-)

We’ll show you the command sprue when it comes in.

There will be 48 figures in the box , flags, unit bases and a full painting guide. Price £18.

In acouple of weeks time we will be able to take pre-orders......we'll let you know.

 All the best
