Title: 28mm Kappa preview [Tengu Models]
Post by: blackstone on 06 August 2012, 09:22:08 PM: Here's the first look at some 28mm Kappa figures I'll be releasing in a few weeks. Based on the Kappa of japanese legend I've made these to be a kind of river goblin as much of anything else. I'm working toward releasing more figures so that a decent skirmish force could be put together. There'll be weapon variants, character figs inc shamen types, some models with scavenged samurai armour. For ranged weapons I thinking of going for blowpipes rather than bows.

The first one painted by Einar Olafson! These pics were sent over today and I'm very happy with the pj!

Now I am trying to find a way to slip/cajole/crowbar them into British folklore for my Strange Aeons project.

Yes almost certainly. Somebody on frothers suggested zombie peasants which I think is a cracking idea!

Sadly I'm a novice painter so I've achieved what most would describe as "gaming standard" and thus they do not photograph well lol

Saw on Tabletop fix that Khurasan had posted these on facebook, dare I dream that that means this range will finally be available again soon, with some reinforcements?

Back in September Khurasan also showed a Kappa commander, armored and wielding a katana. I can't figure out how to share an image using my phone, but it's easy enough to find on the facebook page, and maybe someone else who's more tech savvy can post the picture.
