I love Bowens stuff.
I still haven't seen the Hellboy stuff, other than the big red monkey himself....
-
Supervike - you can see all of the Hellboy figures in the unreleased folder on the photos page of the yahoo group:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/JimbowensDisturbia/
I recognise your handle from CMON - where I have seen you comment on Jim's stuff before - you'd be assured of a warm welcome!
-
Steve, welcome aboard, nice to see you here :)
here the whole bunch! 8)
I still need the Kroenen Mk2, Steve :D

Yeah! I seem like a one man fan club of Jim's over on CMoN. Too bad, I think they are missing out on some excellent stuff.
I believe I am already a member of that Yahoo group...although I haven't participated much. Thanks for the tips though!
-
Supervike/Rich (or anyone else for that matter!) - if you are interested in the Hellboy stuff, I only have 3 complete sets left, as well as some extras of some of the characters - just email me!
Supervike - as far as I'm concerned you've done your share of the work promoting us on CMON - participation on the yahoo group isn't mandatory, but always welcome

Ok...I ordered me a bunch of Bowen's goodies....I wish I could've gotten more, but I think the wife would have at me! Maybe next time...
I will hold my breath until they arrive....
-
Just to update this!
I recieved the Bowen Goodies.
If you haven't ordered any of these minis...DO! They are wonderful. And the slightly larger scale makes them painter friendly....
Which figure is the one to the left of Hellboy in the pic there?
-
That's Johann Kraus - another of Hellboy's fellow BPRD agents. I still ahve a couple of him left if you are interested
-
I'm firmly convinced you are just trying to land me into trouble with the Mrs.....
I'll pass, for now.
-

Guilty! That's what I do! Otherwise I get in trouble with my mrs!
-
Nice - where can I get Jim Bowen's stuff and will they match with Pulp Figures and Copplestone?
-
I think they are differente scales... ProjectX minis are 1:48 while PF a Copplestone are 28 mm (aprox: 1:56)
-
Yup. The Project X and Jim Bowen stuff is all 1/48. Pulp Figures, Copplestone, and most other pulp style-figures are 28mm.
They won't mix together well. Though I am sure some of the "creatures" from the two lines could be put into a 28mmm game as a BFM (Big Friggin' Monster!)
:)
-
sorry for the thread necromancy, but are these still for sale.
-
Yeah, but as has been remarked here before, it's very difficult to know what's for sale because the website is never remotely up to date.
I think Jim Bowen's recent work for Kingmaker Miniatures' Hussite Wars range is really top class. Lovely figures. I'd say they're as good as the Perry medievals.
I'm not quite sure why his own Graven figures are in that more 'cartoony' style. Other than it's a deliberate look that Jim favours, I suppose.
I think his imagination and scope of work is fantastic. I'm just not completely sold on the style. :(
-
Very nice sculpts...me thinks my credit card will be getting the hammer.
-
Where can one get those Hellboy miniatures?
-
Drop Steve a mail through the Monolith site.
