It's been a while since I was active in the VSF department but it's still my little gem. I got this tank off a friend some time ago and his chosen departure from everything but 40k got me thinking about VSF again.
So without further ado here's the 'Belial' tank, a mighty French war engine stationed in the Northern Afrique along with a French garrison.

Everything is scratch built from card stock by Jaeger

I just gave it a quick run of the mill paint job.

Some legionnaires for scale.
Jaeger even did a waterline version as well, but I haven't finished that one yet.

Excellent. :)

I like it a lot!! Looking forward to seeing the painted waterline version.

I'm not a fan of the paper stuff but this looks pretty good.

I think it's pretty hard to avoid card board when scratch building. Or at least that card board often can do the same job as plastic card.
Maybe I'm not reading you right..

Sure! I will get it done.
Stupid as I am I spray undercoated this one... so I have to wait for better weather until I can spray again.
It's all Old West until then.

Very nice acquisition, Dr!
It looks great!
:-*

really cool

Nice card work - and I'd say that your mill runs well, too!
-
Rather funky looking 8) 8)
I like the functional duel purpose of it :D

Ditto, I had to re-read the post. I thought it was one of those print out and fold paper models until I looked closer - my bad!!

I like it! Shows that you don't need expensive metal or resin to play VSF - just some plasticard, sharp knives, etc... if you know how, that is :)

That's what I thought you meant. I was about to unleash awesome, medieval NO WAY on you.
Then I realized I needed to read more from everyone to be sure. :D
So, except for drinking straws and the like, this is all chopped cardboard? The conning tower/turret? Looks like a pressed paper box, really nicely seen to. :-*

Another great addition Dr.V. Slow down, you're leaving us all behind!
Is it the school holidays over there?

Yes, really, all card. No print. :D
Can't take credit for the build though. All Jaeger's honour.

Pointless to ask for WIP piccies, I suppose...
Any chance of an southbound image of northbound tank? I'm curious how the screws fit in.
Thanks!

I can certainly almost deliver both. A photo of the yet unpainted half submerged vehicle and a bum shot of the painted beast.

Very nice! Well done, Jaeger! :)
