Post by: kenohhkc on August 27, 2012, 01:06:30 AM: Hey LAFers. Its been a while. I've been focused on Nappies, but thought I would post some pics of the Shanties I finally finished for my Post Apoc/Fallout stuff.

14 so far in various states of (dis)repair. Will be adding some more vendors and a bazaar. And some second story and lean-to stuff. All scratchbuilt by me. Enjoy:

I will be doing some junk, generators, a couple of vendor stalls, and a blacksmith shop, maybe a gunsmith too and a tinkers shop, all hopefully for the convention. We'll see. All the figs are painted so it's just terrain.

I'll put some comp shots of shacks/trash/stuff up today.

If you do scratch built terrain, the turned wood/woodsies section at Hobby Lobby/Michaels is your friend. So many shapes and things that are so easy to disguise with a paint job. check it out. They glue with craft glue, take paint amazingly well, and are cheap.

Turned wood/woodsies? Are you talking about in the Scenics area for Rail Roads and such or are you talking about the woof craft area with the pop sticks and balsa wood? Better direct me in my local store when I head there to Hobby Lobby!

I recognize the the Danimal drinkable yogurt containers and large scale milk cans on thiers sides. Clever!
