Title: Hollow square - when first used and who 'invented' it?
Post by: Ignatieff on 29 August 2012, 11:58:20 AM
Chaps

I know that in the SYW line was used to repel cavalry, but does anyone know when hollow square was first used, and by which army.  A drill book reference would be most useful as well.

thanks
