Can anyone please give me the multiple base sizes used for SAGA?
Assuming there are standard sizes that is.
I have not bought the rules yet, so am (not so) blissfully unaware.
I have some Vikings that are based on 25mm bases and want to make some suitable unit bases so that they can be used in both SAGA and DBA.
I may as well be able to use them in multiple systems.....

Anyways, back to bases.
Can anyone help?
Infantry 25-30mm
Cavalry 25x50 (but I´ll use 40mm round bases or 25x50mm oval bases)
Warlord 25-40 infantry or 40-60mm if mounted.
Hope that helps.

There are No Official base sizes for saga, so run what you got is fine.
The "official" line of figures (gripping beast) are supplied with 25mm rounds for infantry, 50mm x 25mm for cavalry(I believe, not 100% on size of this one), and a 40mm round for the warlord. (all renedra flats in the "official" packs)
The party line is common sense should rule, over madness.
The easiest way to think of it in game (how me and my friends cover it) is that Infantry will fight 3 deep when touching, and Cavalry will fight two deep when touching. That will cover most variances due to base sizes, and avoid unneccasary measuring and fretting.
I suspect it should only be a problem in tournements, where upon the organisers should take this into account any way, and produce a tournement ettiquette for this and how they are handling it.
Other than that, get the rules, a brilliant game.

Thanks, Chaps!

I'm also building a SAGA viking set up (I've got the lead in my spares box) - though as yet I haven't got the rules (probably will never get round to getting them....but I can dream)
Is the Warlord an extra figure or is he part of of another unit?
Cheers

I have changed the title, in case anyone else has any questions that they may like to ask.

The Warlord is a Unit of his own.
In saga he cannot join another unit but he can take a unit into combat with him.

We seemed to have unnecessarily moved away from being rude to Bibbs to deal with mundane rules issues, perhaps we should have an abuse the Jimbo sticky? lol

Whilst I like to be rude (my rudeness is famed in Uttoxeter - which is the last place that God made and he couldn't be ars*d to finish it) - I'm usually only rude to people I know and feel it is rather rude to be rude to a stranger, however much it (the rudeness) is deserved or not.
So - up yours ;)
