Ooh quite fancy the orcs. I know Frank Hammond had some Roman Dwarves sculpted for himself a while back but they weent up for sale I could see these fitting in very well 8)

Ok, this is a mashup I was waiting for...
-
Are those rereleases of the 40mm figures that originally came out for the game?

No, I believe these are completely new sculpts - more 28mm - 30mm.

Very cool, who makes them?

They'll be part of an A4 boxed set that will include 20 miniatures (6 Noman Orcs and 14 Boche Halflings) and an A4 64 page skirmish rulebook with background, scenarios etc.
Manufactured by www.maveryc.co.uk (http://www.maveryc.co.uk)
The background is the same as before but the miniatures are completely new (28mm) and the rules have had extensive work, although they have retained the humour that makes the games a lot of fun.
We'll be supporting the first boxed set release with blisters as well as further supplement box releases. The date for Pax Bochemannica release is set at 1st December 2012
Cheers

I can't wait for this. I like the idea of more boxed sets.
I'm interested in seeing what other ancient fantasy races are going to appear. Maccabean Gnomes? Pot bellied Dwarf Spartans?
Fantastic.

Don't worry, there's lots coming and some really fun match ups! ;)

Very cool! BTD has some cool roman dwarfs as well.
So, which barbaric land are the halflings modelled after?
The website also has nothing other than a 'coming soon' placeholder, when can we expect to see the actual website?
-
For opponents Westwind do some quite cool alternative ancients in their dwarf wars line. Those orcs do look cool though.

Hi Timbor, the website is being put together at the moment. I think the biggest thing holding it back at the moment is photographs!!!
Oh, the Boche Halflings are Ancient Germans!
I have seen BTD's dwarves, I will be getting some to use as Auxillaries for sure! There won't be any official rules for Dwarves for quite some time, but I'd imagine just use them as Orcs that are a bit slower!

That's a very nice idea, hadn't considered that... Will go and have a look!
Believe me guys, lots more in the pipeline!!!

I have put some of the details of the transfers on the blog for these great miniatures.

The Shield designs/transfers look good.

They are pretty fantastic! You do have to paint the background white for them to work though. I would recommend cutting them a little 'larger' than you would think would fit, because you can sort of trim them. Also, Microset is really useful on these too.
