The latest couple of minis I've painted. The Steel Mask and his biological experiment - Steel Head! I've been trying to improve my painting, but I think I have plateaued :)
All C&C welcome!

And here's The Steel Mask with his anachronistic wheels (A Hot Wheels Repaint)

Quality work there, sir!
:-*
Fine painting and a lovely set of wheels.
I love the idea with the Superhero figure.
I have him somewhere, with the intention of using him for something completely different. You have got me thinking now....
-
Fantastic! Are the flowers bits of that sponge scatter on top of sil-flor type clump?
-
:-*
Excellent painting!
The flesh on the Steel Mask figure is really nice.
-
Brilliant!!! Always like to see Ol' Stahlly. Great concept. Love the bike! :-*
-
Cheers all!
This was an exercise in painting flesh, and black clothing. Both of which I struggle with. Nice to get a thumbs up :) Going to try and do better with the next batch of models, I think maybe I need to get more fleshy paints, at the moment am limited to old GW Dwarf Flesh, Elf Flesh and Ogryn Flesh wash. Any recommendations of good paints to fill the gaps of my small array?
The flowers are indeed Army Painter tufts topped with some crumbs of that foamy scatter... I'd seen some other folks' bases with flowers and I had a brainwave when I was basing these :)
As my main gaming focus is VSF I had to think of a way to include these - so am currently finishing up a 'Time Tunnel' type machine for them to use (I can also use them in my Doctor Who games). Will try and post it tomorrow.
-
Here's a quick time tunnel/generic device - made from an old face cream pot, Bionicle bits, and a good old Doctor Who spinner (For the back).
Steel and Steel prepare to embark:

The doodads are made from the floats from draught beer cans and superglue lids. Could be useful for force-field generators, amongst other things.

Now I need to paint the scientist mini from the same pack as the Steel Mask.

Genius.
I love that time tunnel also, keep it up.

Yeah, it's the mini from the PWM1 pack, but I removed the submachinegun and gave hum a pistol.
-
Of course! I knew I recognized him!
Thanks guys!
-
Coolio! Keep up the nice work!!
-
Wonderful, I love stuff like that and your painting and modeling is first class!
-
The minis look great. Wonderful stuff. :-*
-
Those look great. Very "Fallout" with the mutant...
-
Fantastic. The paint work on the figures is great and I love what you've done with the scenery.
-
Thanks guys! :)
Small update - managed to paint the scientist from the same pack as the Steel Mask. Meet the dastardly scientist, Herr Grips (Which I believe/hope translates to 'Mr Brains').
Went for a 'Bluey whiteness' with his coat, instead of the grey I've tried previously.
The Machine is a lightly modified and painted radiator thermostat I found in the street.

Although the Missus is telling me to stop looking at the radiator like that!
;)
