actually they're mine :)

I'm waiting until all the armies are painted, then I'll do a mass flag painting session.

Cool beans  :)

Are you going for a historical set of flags or just something that tickles your fancy?

cheers

Cracking stuff Red, I will be starting a batch for a customer shortly, could I ask if you used a black undercoat I am not sure whether to go with black or a Devlan Mud wash on these figures.

black, I've tried other colours, but I've always found black works wonders on Bicorne.

Really nice paintjob... although I'm pretty sure these are Renegade figures ;)

it'll be a mix, there may be the odd Renegae fig, but Nick Collier sculpted both ranges.

I don't have any Bicorne minis in my ECW army, but I could be tempted. What are they like sizewise? Big like Redoubt / Renegade / Warlord, or diddy, like Perry / TAG?

Renegade and Bicorne are identical in size (and as stated above they have the same sculptor, they mix perfectly). IMHO Warlord is a bit too small to mix in with Renegade/Bicorne.

I've had some success mixing Bicorne command types in with Warlord and they look fine, if just a scattering for some added variety through a regiment. The Warlord rank & file don't mix well with their Bicorne counterparts though. I've not had a look at pikemen but I imagine it's the same.

I didn't know Bicorne & Renegade were by the same sculptor - I enjoy painting Bicorne, but currently doing some Renegade and just can't get on with them.

Warlord musketeers, and in the rear rank, third from right is a Bicorne command figure, so too is the slightly blurred chap, rear rank first right, carrying a short halberd crossways.

L-to-R, TAG, Warlord, Bicorne, Renegade

Bicorne and Renegade are effectively two halves of one giant range by Nick Collier. They are basically the same figures, just in different batches of poses.

TAG also by Collier, but quite a bit smaller. Both shorter and less beefy.

Warlord plastics - meh.

Check out my ECW gallery here http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?action=gallery;su=user;u=577;cat=74 for lots of pics of both Bicorne and Renegade figures. I have about 300 :D
(Including a dozen cavalry painted by Redzed - and very excellent they are too :))
