Sorry Paul, can't make it this year. Hope that you have a great time, and use it as an opportunity to unveil the .pdf of 'Crom!' ;)
All the best

I can't decide whether I am looking forward to the games or the cake more? ;D
-
Just the joy of seeing everybody, surely?

Just the joy of seeing everybody, surely?
No, its probably the cake lol
-
If only cake was expected one would make an effort to come. Alas, none is so I shan't be journeying that far.

You're all going to have a terrific day. I have foreseen it. o_o
To bad I can't go... stupid regulations and lack of trans-north-sea-motorways. :-X
-
UPDATE: Double cake is confirmed!
Also, I've uploaded a couple of photos to show you which room we're in if it's your first visit, same as last year if you're an old hand.
I've rummaged around and found a couple of painted armies I want to sell along with some scenery and other stuff (lots of DVDs) so I can clear some space if you feel like indulging in some cheaply priced tat buying.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday :)

A bring and buy! :o
I might look out some unwanted lead to offload then...
Silent Invader and I are going to play Wars of The Roses on his spiffing new medieval village board. We're organising it so we can accommodate 4 players if there are others looking for a game :)
-
Milly, myself and a couple of others are off to Mars on either a six by four or an eight by four :D
cheers
James

Yep, Mars beckons with Bibblywibblywobblywoo as well as Dewbakuk and Dr De'Ath. Very much looking forward to it (and the cake). :D
-
And the beer.
Okay. I'll bring some beer...
-
By the way, what time are festivities kicking off?
-
Doors open at 09:00
-
And the beer.
Okay. I'll bring some beer...
:'(
-
Jealous, much!
-
:'(
Are you not drinking or is this an indeitment of Richards taste lol
How is the beer issue being handled Paul, raffle ticket system?
cheers
James
-
Yes, it'll have to be, we can't sell it. Better bring some tickets Richard :)
-
Sounds like a daft question but can we bring our own for personal consumption (not that this is an indeitment of Richards tastes lol )?
cheers
James
-
That shouldn't be a problem.
-
I was just planning on bringing a few bottles...
People can repay me later ;)
-
I shall bring ale as well...do I need to bring birthday presents for you Paul ?
Eric ( I shall reveal my real name on Saturday morning)
-
Presents are welcome of course, but in no way required :)
-
I shall bring you a small gift...
by the way is there a means of identifying which games are open to play and when? Given that this is my first time please be gentle with me...
Eric
-
I'll be running Strange Aeons on a compact 18" x 30" - space for 2 players should only take 30 mins a game...
Mike
-
I think there should be enough spaces for everyone to play something all the time but I could be wrong. I will be running my Rorke's Drift as often as necessary (I know you've already played it) and may try out my 2nd scenario too (no promises it'll be a balanced encounter until it's played and tested though). That will cope with 3-4 people.
My Gladiator board is at school too so I might bring the pieces for that as they're easy to transport.
There's VSF but I'm not sure they're taking extras as there's four of them already. Mark is bringing Fire and Fury again which is always good and can cope with four players quite easily I think. Mike's Strange Aeons should be running regularly, 2 players there probably. Richard and Steve have a four player (?) Wars of the Roses skirmish too.
That's 20 if Mike and I are umpires which pretty much counts everybody.
Best laid plans and all that...
-
Are you not drinking or is this an indeitment of Richards taste lol
It was due to me driving, so no beer. Now it's because I have an inner ear infection so can't come :-[ Apparently there might be a balance/motorway driving issue...
-
Sorry to hear that Deano :(
It does mean we have a spare place for Mars though but we will be playing GASLIGHT :'( lol
cheers
James
-
but we will be playing GASLIGHT :'( lol

The board will be 2m by 1.5m so please save some tables for us! :D

Thanks for a great day yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed the games, the conversations and the company. Please pass on my thanks to Fran and your daughter for the food and the drinks. I think it will be an excellent venue for BLAM 2012.
Here's a couple of photos of our games. Sorry I didnt geta round to photographing the Zulu game and the Strange Eons game.

Most enjoyable. Thanks Paul and all.
I shall get a battle report and pics of the medieval clash up on the medieval board later. My version of events, anyway :D
-
I hope everyone enjoyed themselves, I did (and that's what counts :) )
We were a little depleted on numbers at the last minute as our three-man Frothers contingent had to abort at the last minute but everything went well despite that I think. A good practice run for BLAM.
once again it's always great to see the LAF figures and terrain in the flesh, I'll be grateful for any photos so that I can compile a report on my site, I didn't take any at all this year.
-
I have posted the first of two AARs on the VSF board, please feel free to help yourself to any of the photos.
-
matakishi, you sure know how to throw a birthday party!
It's always amazing when you BLAMers get together!
-
Good to put the some faces to some pseudo- names yesterday. Excellent bash and looking forward to the next one.
I took quite a few photos so if folks want to tell me where to post for access I'll try and download them this week
cheers
