This is Ad Castores, the Roman Civil War battle I painted all those commanders for. It was fought at Partizan with Dr Phil Hendry's Augustus to Aurelian rules, and Craig Davey's terrain boards and a fine time was had by all. There are more and bigger pictures, the historical background and an account of the battle, on my blog at:-

3rd-4th AD Romans :D

Thanks!
Redsez, I do have a Polybian army to finish. ;-) Then there are the part-painted A&A MIR army, and my two part painted LIR armies.
However, in the first instance, I want to expand the above army so that I have enough legionaries to fight the bigger Civil war battles such as Bedriacum and Cremona.

Without a doubt, one of the best miniature army layouts I have ever seen. So beautiful.

Hi Simon
What a fantastic display, I thought that it would be good but you have excelled. Your minis and scenery along with Craig's boards work so well. Years of work coming together into something special, well done.
