Great news. My Christmas is keeps getting longer.....thanks Alex, and Igor. =)

:-* :-* :'( should I just have my boss send you my paycheck!?
Very nice work on the crewman Alex! He looks great.

Huzzah!
-
Sweet!
:-*
Whilst that cannon is superb, releasing the crewmen as a seperate pack may prove a good option as well, as that fella is great and would make an excellent halbardier or spearman with a simple conversion.
That and the fact that some people would already have cannon etc and may just want better crew miniatures.
;)
-
Mason, the crews will be releasing as a separate pack :)
-
lovely paintjob, as always! :-*
And greetings again to Igor, like the face! Great sclupt ... as always ^^
best wishes

Seriously good brushwork.
:-*
I can see a lot of Empire cannon crews finding themselves being made redundant in favour of these fellas...
;)
-
Ausgezeichnet !
-
I was thinking of starting a warhammer empire army, I might buy most of my mini's from here now.
-
:-*
Really luscious colors on these ALex...your color choices are amazing!
Can you give us an idea of your technique for the metal parts on the gunnery captain...they look very realistic.
Cheers,
Blue

Thank you all for the kind comments :)
Chris, first I'm dry-brushing over the black undercoat several layers of metal colours, from dark to light, after that dry-brushing of everything metal with brown/rusty pigment color and finally metallic colours again. That gives some nice shadow effects and it doesn't looks that flat.
-
our first painted cannon - "Crazy Clara"!
-
Lovely.
-
Lovely.
It sure is!
-
Thanks. For the next one I'm probably going to try a bit more red-earth-brown for the wood, just to receive more contrast between colours of the barrell and the wooden parts.

Thanks! interesting technique...I just assumed there was a wash of some sort in there but I like the idea of using the rust color as a "middle" layer.
Cannon looks loverly BTW!

Hmm, I spot a similarity in the name with our "Dulle Griet" (mad Meg) Wiki-link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dulle_Griet)
which by coincidence is also the name of a character by Pieter Breughel that you know al too well ;)
-
Love those vibrant colours! Beautiful crew!

Great job as always Alex :-*
The cannon and crew are really effective togheter.

It could be a good idea. I'm curious to see the next one.

Will the other Crewmembers which were shown in the greens thread be released too? I love the guy carrying a chest, I hope you'll release that one too :)

They showed up in today's mail. Works of beauty, they bring a tear to my eye.
Hopefully I'll be able to avoid that when actually painting them.
