Title: The Old West Showdown
Post by: Terrible Tim on October 18, 2006, 12:22:28 AM
The next supplement for Legends of the Old West will be available soon. Here is a quote.

Quote: "Showdown is the third supplement for Legends of the Old West. Within this book you will find new rules, campaign advice and hobby tips to enhance your Old West gaming experience.

Alongside the ‘Bloodbath in Dodge’ Campaign, you will find a host of ideas for gaming in alternate settings. These include Gangs of America and gangsters in Prohibition-era Chicago!

Whether you want to take on the role of a nameless gunfighter, rescue innocent civilians from marauding outlaws, rob a train with your fearless posse, or ride with Butch and Sundance, you’ll find it all in Showdown.

A thrill-packed, rip-roaring adventure awaits... "

TT.

Does Gangs of America mean "Gangs of New YorK" style skirmish? :o

Great idea! Why didn't I think of that? My Dead Rabbits may have a reason to re-form...

We played  a modification of the stagecoach scenario with a train during a convention two weeks ago and it was very funny.

Well you can find  great painting schemes and historical information on the following websites

Walkatus, the owner and painter of the train on the pictures also did a Russian Revolution convoy using the same train.

I had a look at that toy train at Toys'R'Us and decided it being too large for 28 mm figs for my taste. Compare the tracks to the riders figures, and you see what I mean.

If you're not that picky scalewise, it might be a nice model. A cheap one anyway!

Hi,

nice train.
I have it too. A couple of days ago I saw it at our Toys R Us.
One in Wild West Style and One as an Army train with a plastic tank on it. If someone is interested I would go and have a check if its still available and send it to you ( inside Germany of course - cuz the land of plenty and the brave  has zillion of those trains I think ).

Cheers

Wow ! I've been here for one day and was searching for a way to introduce myself, and then I see that SgtPerry the Ubiquitous is already here and has posted pistures of my trains :o

In fact I bought 3 trains and made 2 out of them. But they cost me 20 € each, not 15. Something's wrong

You can still put batteries in them and it will work.

I am so happy to have found such a wonderful forum !
