On my blog:-

Any mistakes are down to me as my son refuses to read rules (then blames me when we get them wrong!) :)

Haha, got the same thing going on when I'm playing with my friends. I'm always to blame when we got some rule wrong :)

Really useful and well written report, thank you! I've bought the rules and will try them very soon. I have no interest in points-based units and will just play historical scenarios, but the speed of play looks attractive.

I tried it for the first time this evening. I'm reasonably impressed.
I'm going to use it for SCW too.

Thanks all
@Cherno - at least the only rule I appear to have got wrong (when I forgot to -1 for small target) was in his favour
@James - I think they'll be fine without the points system. The one worry I have is if you start to field more than one tank then their MMGs will rule the battlefield given that the hull and pintle can fire at a different target even if the co-ax is prevented from firing because the main gun fires - I think I've got this right.
@James - it's a toss up between these and "A World Aflame" to try out for SCW next. With Bolt Action classing armoured vehicles as armoured car, light etc I just need to figure out where to put the Panzer 1. I'd be interested to hear how your SCW game goes.

I think if I field more than one tank in my games, it'll be an Italian CV35! Probably not the most dangerous thing on the battlefield! :) [I'm planning to do East Africa 1940/1]
Like HM Stanley, I'm sure I'll try SCW with it and maybe Italo-Ethiopian War 1935/6 as well.
Cheers for the info and looking forward to my first game.

James,
Re your plans for East Africa, whos minitures are you planning to use for this? I have always fancied gaming this my self, has the feel of WW1 colonial struggle with diesal punk armour and planes :D
Any way back to Bolt Action, I will be intrested to see the feed back from interwar games.
Regards
James
