Title: The Fellowship of the Ring in Moria
Post by: CyberAlien312 on September 14, 2012, 07:29:43 PM
Last December, I bought the complete collection of the battle games in Middle-Earth -magazine, complete with figures, all issues, and even paint, all for 40 euros! The paint went straight in the bin because it was really bad(it was paint from 2003  ::)), but I did have a lot of figures, including the complete fellowship of the Ring, and it also included a diorama base of the fellowship in Moria. I decided to paint it for the Lage landen schilder competitie (lowlands painting competition) hosted by GW, and I reached the finals... but didn't win anything.   :(
That was almost a year ago and now I see that a lot of things of the painting of the diorama and the figures could have been done better by me. Well, luckily I've improved since then, but I thought I would show a few pictures of the diorama anyway.

So here they are:

Hey, I'm still using some paint I bought in the 1990s.  Just not very much of it at a time, obviously ...

That's quite a bargain.  Glad to see that you're putting it to good use.

Istill think that is the best Aragorn model around. I wish I had bought it a couple of times. The hobbits are also very nice in this box.
I'm very impressed by the way you painted Boromir's coat and Gandalf's robe. They look very good.

Thanks!
And yes, I think it's the best Aragorn figure as well.
