Title: Is this a 15mm swordswoman - or a 28mm halfling?
Post by: evand on 22 September 2012, 07:56:40 PM
Hi,
Is anyone familiar with this old Julie Guthrie Grenadier halfling? I'm wondering how it might scale up next to some of the 15mm stuff on the market now by GZG, Khurasan, Copplestone or the RPE Demonworld minis. Are the features too big to get away with it as a human next to more contemporary 15mm stuff? Or maybe it'd be a better fit for 20mm?

I'm more used to 25-28mm - but I'm interested in picking up a few smaller things for a sword and planet project, and I'd love to work with something like this.

Thanks for the help!

I'm familiar with the figure (one of my all-time favourite halfling sculpts - and no ruddy cookware on her head!), but as to how it scales with modern 15/18mm I really couldn't say.  I've compared her to a 15mm Polly Oliver ACW figure and she's clearly of chunkier build.  Against an Essex ECW musketeer from the mid-90s she's clearly bigger.

The modern stuff?  'Twill take a wiser soul than I.

Thanks for considering it. I'll probably find out when I order some contemporary 15mm's myself...
