I've been using the zombicide horde to practice new painting techniques and some small GS works without too much risk. It's turned out to be quick, and really enjoyable! These are fairly speed-painted, but here's the first few walkers. Girl on the left obvs needs a base, but all in time.

I like those. The speed painting technique seems to do a good job! :)
-
Nice! Good vibrant colors.
-
They look great. Love the kitty on the top :)

Thanks guys! It's fun working in a brighter pallet than my usual, and the freehand was a change too.
Couple more today - nothing too special, but needing something to do in my long force myself to stay awake night before night shifts...
I think I might need a bit of a deeper blue for the standing gent's suit, looking at the pics:

And a little more gory detail on the crawly chap:

Like I said before, quick paintjobs and simple reposes, but the horde is growing!

Hope you enjoy :)

A few more zombicide walkers - the one in the middle was painted by my girlfriend, Hannah. Apparently her name is Betty and she was nommed while enjoying a business lunch. So more backstory than any of mine there!

The zombies are looking pretty awesome. Are they made of the same type of plastic as the fantasy flight games miniatures by chance?
-
Great walkers, I like the paint work. Especially the 'crawly chap'.
-
Like your "speed painted" figures.
When you get my age every figured is "speed painted."
That's the only way I get anything done. lol
-
I concur. Your speed painting technique is great. Thanks for sharing.

Just something I noticed; I know the guy in the blue is wearing a suit but looking at his trousers/pants they are just about the best representation of blue jeans I've seen. You have discovered the formula for painting denim! I really like it :D
-
Yup, I'm enjoying these... keep up the good work and PUT DOWN EVERY ZED.
-
Thanks a lot for the interest, guys!
@cuchulain23 - Thank you! I'm afraid I don't have any minis from fantasy flight, so I couldn't really compare :( They're more flexible than GW minis, but less so than the last night on earth ones, if that helps? Firm, but with a little elasticity if you try to bend them. They take paint really well!
@Obsidian - Thanks a lot! He was fun to make, and I used his legs for something else lol
@Marine0846 - Thanks! I'm feeling the same way with work at the moment... These are fun to knock out when I'm too knackered for bigger projects at any rate.
@Hitman - Thank you kindly, that's much appreciated.
@Elk - You're right! Your comment actually spurred me into repainting that gent - the suit wasn't really working. The denim look is just GW asurmen blue wash over white - a single layer will give you a faded look, another one or two if you want them a bit more saturated :)
@Yeti's Yell - Important advice indeed. Thanks for the kind words!
Here's the shambling horde so far, with a few extras in there:

Hope you enjoy!

Nice job! Thanks for letting me know how you did it. I'll have to try it out! Cheers.
-
Thanks elk101 :)
I've got a few more done now, with some studiominiatures multi part ones in there too.

Again, the painting is a little ropey, but I think they're starting to come in very nicely as a horde. Hope you like, and I'd love any feedback!

Nice !
love the biker with his helmet still on.
Guessing having a bite at a survivor will prove dificult for him :D
-
Thanks Zizi! I'm sure he'll still give it a try lol
Bit of a cross-post here, but some 40k style zombies for necromunda games -

Just a bit of fun, but I hope you like it, anyway. Please let me know what you think!

Josh the thug, first painted survivor from Zombicide
(http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2013/5/5/492564_sm-Josh%2C%20Survivor%2C%20Zombicide.JPG) (http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/492564-Josh%2C%20Survivor%2C%20Zombicide.html)
My wave 2 minis of season 1 arrived a few days ago, and I was starting to get intimidated by the big pile of unpainted stuff, so I thought I'd get to work! Hope you like, and please let me know what you reckon, as always :)
-
I really liked! The jeans is very realistic painted. Would you mind to share your technique?
-
thumbs up ... really good job :)
-
Nice
Great jeans!
Recipe?
