Does anyone have any idea where this owl is from? Is it available or a unique conversion? I need one for a Mentor Marine project.

I have no idea..but for the love of God please post up your Mentor Legion if you're doing them.
I used to have a really really old (read 25 years) White Dwarf magazine and it was back in the Rogue Trader days when they would list random chapters with special rules in the magazine. I fell in love with the Mentor Legion rules and background.
They had weird organization, and their coolest feature was a targetting-link, allowing multiple models to fire bolters at a single point, increasing the strength of the bolter by +1 for each additional strike. This allow a 5-10 man unit to combine bolter shots and take out vehicles etc.
Man...back when 40K was much more rich and interesting. :)

Owl is from the Wood Elf plastic infantry... can't remember exactly the name but Glad Guard sounds right.
I'm fairly sure you could pick one up through Hoard O' Bits or a similar bits vendor on eBay :)

It's in the Dyrad box. ;)

Cool! Thanks everyone.
I'm going to make a small force of Mentors using the original owl icons and need a cyber-owl or two. I don't play 40K at all any more but with the new edition might play some games.
And Elbows I still have that issue and yes the Mentors are cool. :D The Targeting Web made a lot of sense in Rogue Trader days as it could take down multi-wound models very quickly. I'll be posting stuff here and on my blog as it progresses.
