Beastmen.
Goatmen represent spring/fertility in some traditions, but most of all represent Yule, the pagan midwinter celebrations.
Pumpkinmen represent Halloween autumn/winter/death. So they have enough in common in a certain sense. If not mortal enemies they would indeed be allies. I always thought of having these as demonic allies for Chaos Beastmen:

Otherwise, 18th century colonists in the US. Think Sleepy Hollow, Van Helsing, French-Indian war etc.
