Just one of my first attempts to shoot a scene on the table. Never tried this before and so I had to cope with fiddling around to find the correct (nearly) settings for the lighting. In the end I got some decent ones ready to be reworked (hiding the black base edges and the edges of the terrain pieces)
I hope that once the stress before CRISIS, which I attend to, has ended there will be quite a lot of pictures like this in the Obelisk Miniatures Gallery. Es well as some pics with the Baluchi Zombie which will be released next week.
Hope it works to upload the pic - as well the first time I do this... :?
Doesn't work the way it should I will try and find out how to get it uploaded.
Next attempt...

Darn, at last it worked ...
Cheers, Josef
PS .: Just have a look at FUTURE WARS to see some more

Hi Josef, welcome aboard, nice to see you here!
you had a typo in your pic link, i've corrected that :)
The pic looks great, i'm just waiting to your zombie release to post an order, need your baboons (and the chicks too :) ) Let us know when the zombies will be available!
-
Well, what was that typo I did? I thought I was perfect now - Gosh, you ruined my ego for the day.....
No. I'm glad I can see that damn thing on the screen.
I just got the baluchis back this afternoon. Next week is the mouldmaking for the production mould.
And above all I have 19 camels and riders here for conversion for the mounted ones based on Tuareg. And this must be finished by Monday as then Stefan can still do production moulds so I can have them for Crisis. There will be as well some deals for those who want to do a small combo of these.
-
just an "i" was missing :)
Tuareg riders?!?!?! Awesome! really looking forward to see them
-
I know that I run the risk now of getting a lot of posts like "What's that crap..?" or "There's flash on the second mini on the right..." ...
It's just so -
I got them from the caster this afternoon, threw them onto the scanner and reworked the pic a bit to get in more depth.
The Baluchis are a set like shown and just cost the same as each Obelisk 6 miniature blister.
The riders are a bit different. The top one is the leader of this combo based loosly on Tuaregs (I know they have different swords and no shields like these... but its's called Darkest African Fantasies and not Historical Colonial Ressurection Gone Zombie). The next one has two different arms with a Baluchi-type sabre. And the last one has two different arms with lance or spears. The dromedary is the basic model.
Each of them will have a total of six variants ( including the dromedary in different poses, as they will be one-piece-castings apart from the respective weapons arm), so within each blistercode you get six variations which you can convert using either of the two arms (lots of variations). When you now change the arms within the sabre and lance blister you possibilites for variation are zillions.

Well folks here's a sharper pic of the Baluchis. The next coat of black will follow in some minutes and I'm really eager to start painting them.
The desert raiders on camels are at the caster now and the mould should be done by now. For each of the 3 different riders (commander, lance, sword - the latter two each with two differently posed arms) have 6 movement variations for the camel. Pics will probably follow at the weekend.
There will be six different deals concerning Darkest African Fantasies which will be on offer the whole November and offcourse at CRISIS.
They will be in the shop at the weekend. So anyone going to CRISIS and wanting them, please preorder (after this weekend) as I don't know how long my supply lasts. And as Stefan is going to CRISIS as well he won't cast more than he is going to do for me before that.
So here's the pic:

Hope to hear from you all soon

Yes! I want them!

Now they are there -
the lost caravans...
Unfortunately due to some upheavals at the caster's I won't be able to show you pics of the desert raiders before Thursday. But the Baluchi are there:

Anyone going to CRISIS can find me there next to PARDULON. If you have any orders to be picked up at CRISIS you can normally buy through the shop and tell EXPLICITLY in the mail that you want the stuff to be collected at CRISIS. I will take your cash there. To make it easier for you.
See you

Some more goodies to make your table come to life:
The UPP01 -> Universal Plastic Plant is there.
You can do fabtastic trees and plants with it. The trees in the pic are fir cones on which squirrels have feasted. You can find them when you just have a wlk in the forrest. (good when your wife has to entertain the kids during holidays and knows that i can do lots of things with these  )
The plants will be available at CRISIS as well.

See you at Crisis.
This evening the pics of the camels will be in the shoop as well as I just got a call fron Stefan Niehues that I can pick up the first castings. So they will be there in Antwerp!
I hardly can wait....

Well at last, after Crisis and some more sleepless nights a few of the Desert Raiders are painted. Here are some pics so you might get a different impression from the bw pics in the shop and here.
