Title: MERCS ISS
Post by: tnjrp on 04 October 2012, 07:50:05 AM
The newest MERCS faction ISS looks to be out and my gaming pal is a bit keen on 'em but our google fu seems weak when it comes to finding decent pix of the actual miniatures (not concepts, not renders). All I can find is a pic of the starter set taken from far too long a distance away...

Anyone care to assist? :?

Thanx! I'd prefered a bit better pix of the unpainted product but... Well.

They are CAD-sculpted, and then the prints are tidied up and moulded for the models to be cast in metal.

I think they look a bit "Wargames Factory" in terms of some of the detail and proportion.

That said, MERCS have used CAD-sculpted weapons since the Kem Var (second released faction), so it's not such a new process for them.

Anyway, I quite like the designs mostly, but the sculpts haven't quite convinced me yet. So far I have all the factions apart from the USCR (I hate the models!), but don't really play the game. I'll probably add the new Texico crew to my collection however.

@ tnjrp:

This (http://snaptocover.com/iss-texico-unboxing/) might help more?
