So in my Victorian Science Fiction armies, the Venusians (Reaper Andromedans) who are modeled after Messalina on her floating throne can project a shield dome around troops within a certain radius.
It only stands to reason that eventually one of the Earth Colonial powers will capture one of them, and hook them up to a steam-engine field amplifier.
In this case, it's either the British or the League for the Advancement of Society through Technology (L.A.S.T.)

Cool little truck. Still not a fan of those wheels - I see them on a lot of kits (no idea what they come from, I'm pretty new to VSF). Love the overall look of it though.

Froggy, the stuff your imagination comes up with never ceases to amaze me! Well done!

That's really cool Froggy!
Another great creation!

That sums it up best!

Great imagination - excellent

I'm sure international agreements about fair treatment of POW emphatically forbid their use as human(oid) shields >:( But of course treaties between Civilized (read 'White') Countries don't apply to 'natives' :D
A jewel of creativity and skill, as usual.

The come from a plastic carriage sold as a wedding cake decoration or something. A model with great gaming potential despite its 'debatable' wheels, I saw it in many 17th C. - 18th C. games, e.g. as the Governor's coach (http://lotow-loths.blogspot.fr/2009/05/loths-governors-stagecoach.html) in a 'Pirates' setting (exemple (http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_JKkY5yyC0ow/Sh6Z5pQjESI/AAAAAAAAAOc/Xf0My0trUBQ/s1600-h/Coach3.jpg))

These odd wheels are less surprising on VSF contraptions, bizarre by nature! Suspension springs incorportaed in the wheels themselves, maybe?

just great, again. what is the range of this shield? the army or the command group. how long does the 'poor' native last before 'it' burns out? love it! :-*

No quarter is given on Venus by either side and without discussion, and the Cythereans do not tend to forgive.
I'd say that in FUBAR terms, all models within 6"of the antenna gain a 4+ save versus attacks from outside that radius.
Interesting malfunctions apply...

Very nice construction!

That painted up great.

This, sir, is freakin' awesome.

Fan-damn-tastic.

Very nice piece of work. Though the wheels are debatable, I have been looking for similar ones for another project. To the cake shop!
