This Gug is from Grenadier Miniatures. The figure was purchased and painted in the 90s.

A nice Gug indeed! When I purchased him I thought he looked quite fierce but my wife recently pointed out that his pose is more indicative of gastro-intestinal distress. Perhaps it's someone he ate.

Phew, at first I read "his nose is more indicative of gastro-intestinal distress" and I had to think of the two red bulbs on the side of his head that are actually eyes I guess, they look sorta like a prolapse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prolapse)  :-X

Great mini, and I love the way you photographed him....Makes him seem big and imposing!

I agree, the angle of the shot really makes him look menacing. Nice job with this mini.

Ah, gugs! Wonderful. How strange that I should feel a warm wave of 80s nostalgia for such an odd beast.

Nice paintjob on a charmingly old school mini! Is the building facade behind it a commercially produced one or did you make it yourself?
