Take the £2.99 diecast 1/72 UH-60 and sand and flock the base a pleasing shade...

Unscrew the 3 screws underneath, carefully disenage the door rails and separate the two halves. Pop out the windows, remove the rotor column, slide out the tail and gently snap out the rear horizontal wing. lift out the seating, roof and then snap out the engine cowlings...
Then panic, just a little...

Spray the hull, tail, cowlings and rear wing with dark green and leave to dry for a couple of hours, before reassembling using a little superglue on side windows, rear wing and engine cowlings.
Paint the rear blades, guns, nose and engine intakes and exhausts black. Do likewise with back rotor assembly and then lightly drybrush rear rotor column with steel. Paint navigation lights a deep, strong, red. paint the two oval side windows in steel...
