Hi,
I'm looking for a figure that's suitable for Connor from ACIII.
He looks like this:
I don't mind converting, so if someone knows an F&IW soldier or something that stands in a pose that looks a bit like this one and has a uniform like Connor, I'm more than happy.
I already asked this question in Age of the Big Battalions. After a few not-so-helpful replies, abdul666lw said to me that I could try asking this in Pikes, Muskets and Flouncy Shirts. I hope I'll get more helpful replies here.
Thanks!

Try these heads from anvil industries as a basis

try this axe as the basis for the tomahawk from GW

I'd say you're probably better off starting with an Indian and adding the uniform coat...

Btw these are not bad either:

Reminds me of 'Empire Total War': uniforms are 'monsters of inaccuracy' but often with pleasant details inspirational for builders of Imagi-Nations.

Was thinking about making a conversion by my self, based on that image.
I'll gues I go for one of these:
Black Scorpion Pirates, either the guy on the left
http://www.blackscorpionminiatures.com/product_info.php?cPath=27&products_id=103
or Mad Jim Jones
http://www.blackscorpionminiatures.com/product_info.php?cPath=27&products_id=107

Thanks for the suggestions!

I think that Mad Jim Jones works perfectly, if I would convert it a little.

Assasin's Creed miniatures should be available soon from Heroclix.

Have a look at this thread too :

The Heroclix look rubbish though. I would love to see what you do with this.
Are you going to game with it?
-
I've seen on the web reworked / repainted Heroclix minis which looked quite good, so despair may be premature.
Hope they'll do justice to the Hellequin.

Converted with a tricorne to fit in the Lace Wars times, one could hope for something along these lines:

For the female character the Eureka 'Sandra' (http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=249743) officer would be appropriate
(http://www.chronofus.net/wargames/eureka/sandra/commandfront.jpg)
Assassin's Creed 18th C. minis can become heroes (or villains) in a 'Lacepulp' adventure (http://www.drunkendragoonproductions.com/18thcentimagi-nation/viewforum.php?f=13) (think 'Chaos in Carpathia (http://www.wargamedownloads.com/item.php?item=536)' and 'Strange Aeons (http://anatolisgameroom.blogspot.fr/search/label/Strange%20Aeons%2018th%20century)', with tricornes) à la Carnevale (http://www.vesper-on.com/index.php?lang=en) / A touch of Evil (http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/35815/a-touch-of-evil-the-supernatural-game);

('On a moon lit night in Pangaea (http://passageoflines.50.forumer.com/on-a-moonlit-night-in-pangaea-t364128.html)')
specially for these minis if the adventure is set in Canada / the Colonies by the time of the F&IW / AWI, as for instance excellently done in 'A Devil in Jersey (http://bogdanwaz.blogspot.fr/search/label/A%20Devil%20in%20Jersey?updated-max=2012-08-03T15:35:00-07:00&max-results=20&start=12&by-date=false)'.

Some of those do look rubbish, but the brotherhood Ezio looks very nice! I will try to get that one for sure.

The clix figures are often incredibly good sculpts, but the plastic and the 'factory' paint jobs destroy them. I've seen some of the greens (usually grey) on sculptors websites and they are fantastic, I was shocked the first time I saw some. I've also seen some that have had repaints by good painters and it's amazing what can be done.
I suppose I'm saying don't discount them just yet :)

Not being a button counter, what worries me most about these characters design is the *bow*. I understand that if slightly off-period it is not out of place in 18th C. North America, and I agree that, sprouting neither flame nor smoke and almost silent it is a good assassin weapon. Good, but not perfect, I doubt it can be shot from a prone posture. Air guns such as the (historical) repeating Girandoni Windbüchse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Girandoni_Air_Rifle) don't suffer this limitation, but perhaps would not be not visually 'distinguishing / striking' enough? Then what about (repeating) crossbows?
They have the additional advantage, would the game turn really 'Lacepulp (http://www.drunkendragoonproductions.com/18thcentimagi-nation/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=81)' / 'monster hunting (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=47007.msg550429#msg550429)' , to allow to shoot silver-tipped bolts or wooden stakes.

The bow and stylised hatchet will be to show the Native American blood of this particular character.
-
OK, then. I confess I know very little about the game; but what about the two other male 'designs'? The bow looks specially 'odd' associated with the character dressed as a ship captain: one would expect for instance a multibarreled carbine.

That's because it's the same, native-american character, but in a different suit, to blend in to his environment. The player in the game can also buy these outfits to bring a little variety into the game. I believe it is also possible to use a carbine in the game, though.
-
Thanks for the clarification! :)
Though I doubt a ship captain carrying a bow will merge that well in the environment :D
Just for the enjoyment of the 'not hysterically historical' among thus (those whose pirates meet krakens, zombies, dinosaurs and cave girls in fur bikinis, for instance):

Not sure as the game isn't out yet, but in non-online play, you only play one character. In the previous games you could buy new outfits and colours etc from tailor shops during the game. Those other two designs are probably just clothing options within the game, so the weapons etc wouldn't change.

In the game it is possible to pick up weapons from opponents, guns as well.

Yes, you don't really keep them though.

Is the female (seemingly) design
(http://static9.cdn.ubi.com/en-us/images/RedCoattcm1961594.jpg)
an 'alternate' player character?
-
It's an online multiplayer character. I know she looks a bit weird, but so do all of the multiplayer characters. I guess they shouldn't be taken seriously.
-
Weird? I've seem far... worse in 'The Real World™' :)
And I'm ready to take her seriously :D

Makes me want to do some Rev war gaming. i got some Perry bothers Hessians laying neglected and unpainted. might be a good time to break them out.
