Hi guys,
Here's some photos of some WIP greens from my upcoming Space Cowboy range.

(http://www.killerbgames.com/images/workbench/DSC03839.JPG) (http://www.killerbgames.com/images/workbench/DSC03839.JPG)
The figures shown are Gil Stargazer: Man for Hire, his ornery robo-prospector Zeke and his trusted friend Boone the Sasquatch trapper.
Hope you like them. There's boat loads (Or rather Grav-Wagon loads) more in the pipeline.
I'll be sending the briefs for the next batch to the sculptor very soon, these will include:
Rowdy Ruckbah: The Baddest Man on Dorado Prime,
The 3 MEK-Brothers
Deadeye:The Robo Bounty Hunter/assassin.
The sculptor Martin Baker has done me proud.
-
Excellent! I'll be getting some of these.
-
Very Cute! Love them!
-
Wicked!
Is that one who traps Sasquatch, or a Sasquatch who traps, or is that his angle? lol
Sorry, but somebody needs a version with a long coat, to paint brown...
Doug

Love them.
Gracias,
Glenn

Great Work. :-*
-
Those are fantastic! I really like the ornery little robot.
-
Thanks for the kind words folks, always appreciated. :)
Beast, Boone is a Sasquatch who traps. Take a look at his feet. ;) He comes with seperate Trap-Jaws on their own bases which can lie on the battlefield or be thrown at enemies.
Whilst Boone is a wise level headed deep thinking creature, there is another less benign sasquatch stalking the Galactic Frontier. The greatly feared and legendary Wendigo Jones:The Alien that walks like the Beast. An insane murderous trapper dressed in Tarantulok fur who slaughters travellers and feasts on their flesh. The Galactic Frontier is indeed a dangerous place. :)
-
Oh! You have to do a Miss Kitty figure who is a kitty!
-
No guts, no glory!

This line is shaping up to be a fantastic one!
-
Galaxy Rangers! Great show. The range is also going to include Star Marshals. ;)
-
Well done! I second the idea of a Miss Kitty kitty figure!

I tird... I tertiary...
Me too! lol
FYI, I DID notice the feet, but until the internet incorporates a smell-o-vision protocol, I won't have the absolute test of Bigfoot! :D
Doug
PS Really, love for Gunsmoke and Space Rangers, but none for Firefly/Serenity?
-
Astounding!
-
Who doesn't love Firefly? :)
Surprisingly I have taken no inspiration from Firefly despite being a fan. This project is fuelled by my love of westerns and 80s cartoons.
However, just like in Firefly there will be a civil war element to it though this time caused when the Confederation of Allied Moons break away from the Colonial Federation following the Automaton Emmancipation Act.
There's also the Indian war element with the G-Cav fighting the Snakeman Tribes.
You'll also have Asteroid Wranglers, Scuttler Herders,Alien Pilgrims, Outlaws,Serpeneros and Grav-Wagon Trains.
I've been having a whale of a time writing it. :D
-
Hope you like them.
I do.
There's boat loads (Or rather Grav-Wagon loads) more in the pipeline.
And that sounds great too.
I'm just getting started on Space Opera, so this is timely.
-
I want to preorder!
-
Boy oh boy, this has all sorts of possibilities! I can't wait to see the gravcoach fighting off the Snakies and then watching as the Unified Stellar Cavalry rides over the ridge to the rescue on their gravmounts.
-
This excites me immensely. I love Westerns and 80's tunes as well. Please tell me that Robo-horses are in your plans. Maybe some Galaxy Ranger type mounted and dismounted. That would be truly fantastic.
-
The G-Cav will be riding on a form of Horse influenced hover bike. There will definately be mounted figures. I may give the Star Marshals actual Robo-Horses. I've been mulling over an exact design.
I'm getting myself all excited. :)
The rules and background info are done in basic form and I'll be looking for playtesters.
There will also be three supplements: 'By the Moons Divided.'( Concerning the civil war)
'The Nu-Albion Casebook of Holmes:Interplanetary Detective'
And a scenario book set on the Galactic Frontier
-
Oh man, I can hardly wait. I haven't been this excited over a new line in a long while.

I can't believe I didn't yell 'Wait a minute! Walks like ME?!?!' lol
On the other hand, I can't believe we haven't been pestering you about updates. I am not worthy...
Wow, like that's news? Lovely stuff, don't be so long keeping us up-to-date!
Whoa, what's that about 'Legions'? Have you shared that elsewhere?
Doug
-
Heh heh thanks Beast,
Alas legions cost mucho galactic credits so releases will be slow to begin with. After this lot the next release will be the ghost like shriekers, a Star Marshall and possibly two Astro-Express Detectives. Maybe a couple of barrel-bots too.
Do you all reckon I should continue with bringing characters out or would you prefer to see some troop types like General Questar's G-Cav troopers and the opposing Snakeman Warrior Tribes?
Also when I added the photo links I thought the pics would appear on the board permanently as opposed to folks having to follow links, have I done something wrong? ???
-
Could you do a couple of troop types and one character each time? Or maybe it's best to get some troopies out there. It's a hard decision.

Now THAT makes perfect sense. Zim sala bim! It shall be done!

Hi guys,
I've added the Space Cowboys to the Killer B Games website,so they available to order. They are under the section entitled: STAR*HIDE. The master moulds are done and I'm just sorting out the production moulds.

I do like these! :o :D
-
The miniature sci-fi cowboy sub-genre has been a little neglected until now. Fantastic stuff. Just put in an order :)
Although the humans look fantastic, its the western themed aliens and robots that will have me robbing the astro-stagecoach to buy more. Alien pilgrims with just enough technological trappings really appeal for some reason.
-
Order is placed. :D
Great Miniatures. :-*
-
The Star Hide Miniatures have arrived in Germany.
Great figures.
I'm excited..
Many Thanks . :D
-
um i might of missed it,are these 28 mm?
-
