Title: More dismounted Sassanids
Post by: philhendry on October 24, 2012, 02:22:42 PM
Hi Guys,

Here are my latest Sassanids - some more of Aventine's dismounted Savaran noble cavalry.  Shield transfers are by LBMS.  Painting by my usual 'Army Painter' method.

Very nice, Phil!  The pretty LBMS transfers set them off a treat.

I absolutely love Persian Figures.  These are wonderful. It's hard to believe they are dipped.

As always, a stunning job!

And it just goes to prove, once again, that it's not the 'gloop' you use that's important, but rather it's what you do with it that counts. AP dip, in the right hands, is a superb tool...

Absolutely lovely work! :-*

Did you use Strong tone on your Sassanids or soft tone please?

Thank you!  Strong Tone.  I undercoat with white, and use bright basecoats, then paint on the Strong Tone with a big, flat, brush.
