Title: Black Tree WW2 British
Post by: geoffb on 25 October 2012, 01:12:07 PM
I'm putting together a LW 28mm British force and so far have bought some Artizan troops which are very nice. I don't particularly fancy the plastics I've seen (Bolt Action) and the Crusader Brit Para's I found were pretty hefty compared to the Artizan/BlackTree and old Bolt Action I had so I'm not that keen on getting any more.

I'm reading that BTD UK seem to have got their act together these days so wondering on buying from them. The photos look good to me and I already have US and Germans from them. Any comments on the range itself or delivery these days?

I am a big fan of BTD and I know they have there critics (stand by for a storm of negative posts) but I have used BTD a lot over the last few years to stock up on VBCW and Viking figures. In my experience they are always fast and reliable. To be honest, their delivery times have always been fantastic. Sometimes the order arrived within two days! Most of the other companies I have ever ordered off can not compare to that!

I am sure BTD had their problems in the past but as far as I am concerned I have never had anything but excellent service off them

I can't personally comment on the British figures as I have ordered other WW2 ranges. The Russians and partisans are nicely sculpted and well cast. The photos on their website are a fair likeness to what you get to.

I would say- shop with confidence.

Never had a problem with them. Have been buying quite a bit if the Dr Who stuff this year and always arrived quickly.  Have brought lots off WWII stuff from them and is really good for the price.

Whenever I've used BTD in the past I've found that their historial stuff would be delivered within 3-4 days - it was always the Dr Who range that took forever (as I understand it these used to come from the US at the time!)

I'm glad to hear that they have improved as there are some gems in their range (even if their pictures don't always do the models justice) that I've always wanted to pick-up!
