Here is the Steppe Tiger stalking its prey. A not quite finished Martian Ruumet Breehr.

Not laughing, that's a surprisingly good match!

Never thought of that, and shamed to admit same!

Given the beasts appear to be a bit bow-legged, strange to say, yours is actually just a bit thin. Never imagined I'd be uttering that about a rhinoceros!

Thanks Doug!
Those Schleich and Papo Rinos are a "decent" match for this beast of burden. To speed up the process I have sculpted a few customized heads and made resin castings of them. That way I can get a nice herd put together rather fast. You can't tell in the photo but I've repainted his body to be a blueish grey with iridescent red mottling. I'm thinking of adding some kind of spots but I can't decide on the colors.

I liked the rhino miniature. Its description made me giggle, hence the " lol".

I'd love to see more of your minis Nemo.

Sorry if I made it sound like you found anything but joy!  :D

*I* started to laugh at it's origin, until I took another look at source images. The spread haunches put the Martian about midway between rhino and lizard, but decidedly closer to the rhino.

Brought me up short, I must say!

Good call, Captain! And you've my admiration for working with the plastic beasties. Between you and the good Colonel's dollar store dino mounts, I'm having to rethink the whole 'to soft for me to work with...'

I'm even giving a Mage Knight fig a go... *shudder*

Doug

Edit: Captain, ol' bean, keep those molds handy; we may want to give this a go.

Thanks to the both of you!
I'll be posting more to this thread soon. I'm currently working on my venus gaming mat and should have some pics in a bit. I"m trying to get all my planet in order. Most of my figures have magnets in their feet so I can switch out their bases to fit the planet they are on. So my terrain is taking up most of my time right now.  o_o

Edit: I'm actually selling these on a certain site right now but I don't want to violate the forum rules so I haven't posted them to the Bazar.

Here are a few more of my Space 1889 customs. A Marooned soldier and a Moon Man.

I love them both.  :-*

So much character! The moonman is really cool. I love Robinson Ceusoe on the Moon!

Actually, I think putting it in the Bazar might be a violation; it's more like a general product notice than a personal sale. *shrug*

Also, in general discussions, a link in answer to a question has never seemed a problem. You are noble to worry about the slippery slope, though.

My ability to argue both sides internally until I've tied myself in knots is a source of unending amusement to friends.  ::)
