An unlikely adventuring pair:

This is the start of my halfling warband, which I may use for Songs of Blades & Heroes, or a fantasy take on Saga, or maybe Fanticide.. flexible group I hope.

Great Work.
I love the brushwork as well as the choice of colors and how you blended them.
I am definitely going to wait and see how this warband reveals itself...
-
Nice work!
I love the attention to the small details, like the rust on the armour and the big fella's belly.
Nice touches like this really bring a miniature to life.
:-*

They look great. Especially like the rusted armour.
Hurry up and show more. ;)
-
Those are brilliant. I love the halflings gem. Who makes these?
-
A superb pairing. Not difficult to discern who's the brains in that partnership, eh? Oh, and superb brush-work, as usual!
-
Lovely brushwork.
But does that Halfling have the pipe stuck in his nostril? Must be the angle of the photo that fools me.
Very crisp paintjob, the blue and the metallic on the spear and the sword are extra nice.
-
The Long & Short of it is they look FANTASTIC! Despite the pun, the Lads are impressive; fine brushwork & basing with attention to the details make for two GREAT pieces. VERY WELL DONE!
-
Lovely paintwork, I like the subtle rusting effect on the chainmail. Very nice.
As for who makes the halfling, it's Warploque Miniatures. Very talented young man who I think is currently doing his A Levels!!!
-
Great paintwork on a wonderful duo. They make quite the travel companions.
-
Thanks all :D
The pipe: I think it's the way he's gritting his teeth makes it have a sharper angle out of his mouth.
yes- the hallfing is from Warploque Miniatures- Alex makes so many nice sculpts, hard not to buy them all- I have a whole little army of halflings now.
I especially like the archers.
Eventually I'll get around to painting them all, but I'd picked up this old GW Ogre from Ebay specifically for them. I was thinking of using Saga for fantasy skirmish, with an Ogre taking the place of 2 elite warriors- giving him 2 wounds & 2 attacks, with losing an attack if he takes a wound.
-
Very nice work love the models and look forward to seeing the completed warband.
-
Nice looking pair. Lovely paint jobs!
-
The old empire type ogres were much superior to the ogre kingdoms ones IMO. I must get me one or two some time
-
Very nice painting!

Superb! I think I have that ogre somewhere... o_o

New to the forum and having a look at halflings in particular... Found this old post and had to comment. Amazing paint job - from the spear tip to the haft what a great lesson in metal rusting! Better than Gotrek and Felix!
-
Beautiful painting all around, but I'm particularly fond of the metal bits.
-
Love the metals!
-
These 2 are oozing character. Brilliant would be an understatement.
-
Fantastic!
