Title: Aquarium plants?
Post by: Argonor on 16 March 2008, 10:19:52 AM
Hi

I'm quite certain, that half a year ago or so I found a British online store selling aquarium supplies and carrying the same plant mats as sold by GW - but at 1/3 the price.

I forgot to add it to my favourites, and now I cannot find it (been googling a lot this morning).

Can somebody help me?

I'm just about ready to start making some jungle terrain, and I'm going to need a lot of different types and sizes of plastic plants, but it would be nice to have some og those mats for the 'undergrowth'....

I have had the same problem so now I have 3 UK and 2 Dutch sellers in my favourites. Here are the 3 UK ones:

To be complete; the 2 dutch ones:

I've bought stuff from Aquatics Online before and they were really quick.  The "plant ball" was surprisingly useful as you can chop it around fairly easily.

My best purchases for fake plants was when I was in France over Christmas.  There was a cheap store called "Gifi" which had a huge amount of silk plants for sale - including some plastic grass mats which were a mere three euros each.

There's a Gifi around these parts too. I've bought some stuff from there in the past.
