Post by: Agis on 03 November 2012, 03:01:13 PM
Michelle (or NOT-Michonne) with her Zombie “Pets” from Studiominiatures.

Since I have read all 103 Walking Dead Comics and all TV episodes you can imagine how happy I was about this release. ;)

Nicely painted Agis as ever but really not keen on the sculpts I have to say. Zeds don't work for me unfortunately, (really digging the pack mules in Season Three I have to say).

Michonne is nicely done. My only comment would be around the blood, but then I'm a TCR fan rather than red paint.

Cheers

Thnaks for the nice comments folks, but
... My only comment would be around the blood, but then I'm a TCR fan rather than red paint.
what is wrong with the blood, and what means TCR???

The idea of the blood stain poncho and the Zeds is basically camouflage vs Zs. That's also why I wanted a dirty and gritty look.

TCR stands for Tamiya Clear Red. It's a translucent red paint that's used a lot for blood and gore. Mixed with some black ink it looks like older darker blood. TCR makes blood look a lot realistic than just red paint...also dries shiny.
Very nice paintjob by the way.

Ah got it, well that is what the darker green spots are for, dried and soaked in blood, the red ones are the fresh drops...
 ;)

In the comic are the two zeds with her not her brothers? Just a minor quibble, very nicely painted. :)

Even in the last TV episode there's a hint at her knowing them before they became walkers… 8)

Presuming that you are talking about the undeads skin colour, the pale tone is intentionally, the sculpts have such straight hairs that a darker colour would be strange looking.

Fantastic.  Now that I have the RV from the TV series, I'll be ordering these survivors today!   I guess the next project would be for someone to make a scale prison!

They look fantastic mate this set is on my to get list. I'd imagine zombiefied African skin would be quite hard to do. (well in my mind I can't figure it out)

Nope. It is her boyfriend Mike and his idiot best friend Terry. No brother. Even shows in the comic strip blurb above. :-)

Hi again,

worked on Gear Krieg, painted a Hellcat and also finished two Zs to oppose the feisty Michelle...   ;) ;)

The Zs are from Tengu Miniatures.

Well, reading 100+ "The Walking Dead" comics (plus watching the show) somehow convinced me that a Z game might be fun...  8)

Everyone who is interested in Post apocalyptic Zombie gaming sooner or later comes to Zombicide.
I also bought a starter box and painted the Sheriff.
Plastic is alittle bit too soft for my taste but still very good and rich in detail.

And - works even well with other lines:

Great job on that sheriff!

Now just make sure he gets enough varnish to put up with the playing :)
