Hi - I've been painting 6mm WW2 tanks since the summer, and 28mm VBCW figures too. Not thrown a dice yet though!  o_o

I know how you feel, I have two complete Blitzkrieg Commander armeis in 10mm sitting fully painted and based on the attic, been there for six years, never played with them once :D

Nice collection of vintage cars btw. (sadly only in 28mm scale ;)

Hi dafydd and welcome to a very friendly forum.

I've just had a quick look at your blog and was impressed, and in answer to your question about where to find radiator grills for your Bedford trucks the answer is in your local tobacconists!  They sell pipe screens which are very fine brass mesh and measure roughly 25mm across (if you can't locate any just pm me and I'll send you some gratis).

That's a great idea -I'll try my local baccy shop this week!

Is there a thread for useful ideas like that, you know, of alternative uses for everyday stuff?

You can pick up some good ideas from all over the forum but possibly the best place is the Workbench section - have a good look around and if in doubt just ask, they're a friendly bunch ;)
