Post by: Hammers on 08 November 2012, 10:22:15 AM
As you may or may not have noticed things are stirring over here at the "Build Someting Contest" sub-forum. Alex have OKed another round of scratch build mayhem. Overlord and I will run the Potato Cup jointly this time. We will be back shortly with rules and theme. Stay tuned...

Didn't know there was a sub forum for scratchbuilding!  :-X

Personally I like making star trekky spaceships and such.

Workbench is the place for that.

The "Build Something Contest", also known as the "Potato Cup" is an occasional competition run among forum members wher you scratch build something based on a set theme. Check the Build Something Archive to see what it is all about.

Yeah I had a quick look in there, looks like the sort of thing my firend Pete would be into. I'll send him a link methinks.

You'd think but no. It is my own original misspelling which has stuck since the last time.

Glad to hear it. Overlord and I are in the process of hammering out dates, rules and theme. Suggestions are welcome but will most likely be ignored completely. :)

No, it is not. We will of course have a theme which will make it possible to build something which will fit most periods.

Well, considering the fun I had competing in this year's trash bash, I might give this one a go as well!  :)

I still haven't finished my entry from the first comp  :-X

That won't stop me entering, going all emo when I can't get things to happen how I want and giving up on it for a couple of years  ;D
