Hi Folks.
Been lurking on these forums as a guest for some time now. Decided that this seems like a nice place to hang out officially, so I've taken the plunge and joined in.
I'm more of a painter and converter than gamer right now, as I recently moved to Dumfries and haven't really made any new contacts to start playing (although I'm lucky to have a wife who occasionally plays games with me).
In terms of gaming, I'm a bit of a butterfly, flitting from one period/genre/scale/game to another as the mood takes me. Consequently, I rarely finish painting an entire army. Generally, though, I keep returning to zombie apocalypse gaming, Blood Bowl, sci-fi, fantasy, atomic monster rampage style games and ancients all (with the exception of Blood Bowl) using various rulesets.
Hopefully I'll make some useful contributions to this community as time goes on, although comments are a bit of a rarity: I'm a bit shy online. Most likely, I'll be more active in the new year, as I embark on a Barsoom/VSF project with the missus which we shall endeavour to chronicle on this hallowed part of the internet.
See you all on the boards!

Thanks for the welcome remarks guys.
@ Bezzo: Lol! I didn't notice the innuendo when I typed my first post. Now you know why I'm shy of making comments online! :)

Have you made contact with the Dumfries wargamers club yet? They meet in a pub, somewhere, not that helpful but I only really know of their existance :D

Hi Folks!
Thanks for the responses. I'm feeling very welcome here already.
@ Voltan & Dave Knight: Thanks for the heads up. I've heard through the grapevine that there seem to be three clubs I can try out in Dumfries, Dumfries Wargamers being the best known. I think I'll visit them all, and see which one is the best fit.
And I can't justify missing out on Albanich 2013 now I'm in town!
Cheers,
Wos
