Post by: Doctor Merkury on March 18, 2008, 01:55:46 PM
I've added some cross time Alien Hunters to my gallery that our Club is using for some  games:

Very nice. I like the first one, is that painted to represent half invisble or is photoshopped?

Used the Yautya in several of our Weird War II gaming and have found them to be pretty tough to deal with.  Great looking stuff.

Thanks guys, Bryan Miley of our Club painted the Hunters and I did the prey models.

"Very nice. I like the first one, is that painted to represent half invisble or is photoshopped?"

I retouched the images in a few spots and made the "coming out of cloak" look that way.

We are using an adaption of the Iron Ivan Games rules to play the Hunters across several periods.  We are going to play a regular Historical scenario with two players contesting for objectives, but also insert a third player as the Hunters into the center with his own objectives.  Prey forces will have about 20 models to their side to about 1-2 Hunters.  I'll post more pics once we do some games.

Let the Safari begin!

Those look great!  I've always thought it might be fun to do some Predator games in different eras.

Man, what a great idea!

It's a great way to bust out the various historical figs in our collections and make use of them in a fun new way.

Thanks!

"It's a great way to bust out the various historical figs in our collections and make use of them in a fun new way."

Thanks, this is exactly what I thought about your Museum Scenario you released for Superfigs.

Okay, I've loaded the pdf I made up covering the Hunters in the Iron Ivan Games System onto their Yahoo Group here:

http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/ironivan/files/Player%20Contributions/Alien%20Hunters/

You'll need to join the Yahoo Group, then in Files, Player Contributions, Alien Hunters.

Enjoy and happy hunting,

Here are some rules if you play Battleground Weird War II.
http://battlegroundweirdwarii.com/Predator.pdf

I think Pappa did a zombie report a while back and in the background you could see a Yautya on top of a building just watching the carnage below.

Now all we need to do is pit some of those bad boys in a CoC game and see if they can take out the Old Ones by hand.  Wonder how much rep you'd get if you mounted good old Cthulhu on your wall. :o

Good stuff,
Brian
