Hi,
I am trying to track down 5-6mm thick soft foam along the style of 'funky foam (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Funky-Foam-Sheets-Assorted-Colours/dp/B000UCUL48)'.
So far I have tracked down tons of 2mm / 3mm thick and have resorted to getting glue to stick the sheets together but I know they make 'reindeer antlers (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Monster-Parties-Reindeer-Antler-Headband/dp/B005KJ38ZA/ref=sr_1_4?s=kids&ie=UTF8&qid=1353165649&sr=1-4)' and 'Christmas Trees (http://www.amazon.co.uk/3D-Christmas-Tree-Foam-Kits/dp/B009HOWJ7C)' out of it >:( :'( >:(
I have tried 'Foamalux Foam (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300629903829)' but it is too rigid for my needs and most of the LARP sites I've tried say to use this for costumes due to its defensive quality :o
edit:
I have seen 'Plastazote (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380486093492)' foam but this shines and is full of bubble holes :-[
Thanks in advance
Andrew

Looks like I got hung up on the trade name.
Found this late last night Extra Thick Fun Foam (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Extra-Thick-Fun-Foam-Sheet-in-Light-Green-6mm-x-12-x-9-/320800539910?pt=UK_Crafts_Children_s_Crafts_EH&hash=item4ab133c506)

My curiosity piqued I need to ask what on earth are you going to use it for?
-
Reindeer antlers & xmas trees ;D
-
Sounded like he wants it for SCA (i.e. historical reenactment) armour?
-
Is EVA foam what you are talking about?
-
Something like this (http://direct.hobbycraft.co.uk/products-Hobbycraft-Foam-Sheets-Festive-50Pk-15cm-x-21cm_291466.htm) perhaps?

Thanks for the questions and ideas and the EVA name.
The Hobbycraft foam is only 2-3mm thick but the eBay link is on its way to me.
As for armour - not at my age :D
As for the need - given I have done nothing with games for the last few months (well Feb at least) and have not really wanted to I decided I would revist this project (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=22984.0) but in a Portable Wargames 8x8 format (http://www.users.dircon.co.uk/~warden/portable_wargame/index.html) as a trial to see if I am up to this...
