Following the armed robberies in Serenity help has been brought in, in the form of the famous Winkerton Agency. They have tracked down a leading member of the Wild Gang “Lefty Starr” brother of the gang leader. They are spread around town and have Lefty held in one of the towns hotels waiting the arrival of the train for Silver Town where a trial is set for Lefty’s imminent arrival.
There is a bounty on the head of Lefty of $10,000 dollars, WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE.
There is a county bounty on the head of Henry Starr the Wild gang leader of $20,000, and $1000 dollars a piece on the gang members – proof will be needed
A pale rider has been seen on the high planes.

Nice
Love the fatal head shot card!
What rules do you use?
-
thebinman , using a combination of The rules with no name, Dusty trails , and some personal tweaks.
I have had custom cards made up for my fate/action deck, hit deck , and money deck
by www.artscow.com - you load up your own pictures , and then add any text etc you need in thier software.
you need to look for http://www.artscow.com/photo-gifts/playing-cards/multi-purpose-cards-rectangle-394
I wait for their offers - like 25% or 30% off and free worldwide shipping and a pack costs me around £6.50
The hit deck has 36 results as per TRWNN - so no dice rolling just cut the deck!

Action cards - every figure in the collection has been photographed and has its own card - and that activates that particular character.

each character has its own play sheet created on an A5 sheet laminated and i use a dry wipe pen - these are based on the playsheet from "Dusty trails"

Very cool...good to see I'm not the only person making use of card decks. I'm doing a home-brew Old West game as well, thanks for the extra bit of inspiration.
I wish my models were painted well enough to be photographed...maybe I'll use the stock photos from the websites... :D
-
Elbow
or just use a simple coloured sillouhette - check out google images for cowboy sillouhettes.
-
Yep, that's what I am currently using actually. I would suggest to you, fine sir...if you do more card prints...you should grab up some Old West fonts, from Dafont.com
They have an entire list...
http://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=106
Download the font you like (free by the way)...unzip it, and right click on the TrueFont file, and it will have an option "Install". Will automatically install to your computer. I've downloaded a couple for use...same thing with my Robotech game (yep, they had several Robotech/Macross fonts). Would really add a bit to your cards! Your cards look great btw.
-
Elbow - cheers - fonts duly downloaded!
-
Great looking stuff! The cards especially make it look very professional.
By the way, what scale is the train you're using on your board?
-
obsidian3d
thanks - it is a model railway one scale ON30 made by Bachmann- which is 1/48th they can be picked up used second hand etc on ebay
-
I've tossed the idea of simple MDF cars to my buddy (Tri-City Laser - his buildings are over on Knuckleduster). It seems it'd be really easy to laser-cut out some simple passenger cars, cattle cars, open-cars etc.
You'd still need an engine though...I need to get a train, but as of now I don't have tracks or a train station building (on my ever-expanding list of to-do's).
I think it'd be awesome to get together with a couple of fellow 28mm Old West nuts and build a gigantic town sometime... :D

aaah but what would we call it!

A "Train Job" in Serenity, what a surprise ;) I see a few brown coats in the mix, I'm sure this game will give you some great "War stories", as long as your fellow gamers have a "Heart of Gold" and you don't get "Bushwhacked".
-
aaah but what would we call it!
I think it's quite obvious. We'd call it...awesome.
