Title: Antenociti Harrier Dropship
Post by: tnjrp on 27 November 2012, 11:28:18 AM
I think my "It must be mine!" threshold is approaching ;D

Luckily it will only be out sometime next year.

Aarch!! Right in the wallet! ::)

The words 'It Must Be Mine' do not even begin to cover the acquisition protocols that this picture has initiated in the miniature obsessed parts of my central processing unit... ;D

It's beyond awesome, and I see it clearly in my future... :D

One more thing to go my spaceport vehicle list. I wonder if it'll be out by salute (hmm I can this getting expensive).

That IS nice.  And, totally a great blend of Mass Effect technology aesthetics, and the Half-Life 2 gunship bodyplan.

Always with the negative waves, Moriarty....

Must say, this is the beast I would have hoped the Final Fantasy drop ship toy turned out to be.

Nice sleek design...sure doesn't look like anything I'd call a dropship...perhaps a personal shuttle?  Either way, nice design!

Very nice and all but looks like a cleaned and mass effected terminator salvation Hunter Killer from profile.

Don't get me wrong, like it, but as I said, looks very familiar.

I think people are only getting the 'familiarity' vibe because it leans forward. The Terminator Gunship wasn't unique in itself. Put it this way, all Jet planes look similar in some way or another to other jet planes, but that doesn't bother anyone. I don't see why a general design but tweaked to look cool shouldn't exist outside a well watched/well known franchise nor does the latter hold ownership over an entire general design. If it was the Terminator gunship exactly, then we may have an issue.

I like the design, and think the Sci fi market needs more stuff like that; a bit more sleek as opposed to clunky, but not so OTT on being sleek and technological I could never see it enter a designers head for something real.

As an aside we need more dropships, and this is defo something I will buy into.

Well I'm just saying bruv. Seems like everything somebody makes is 'familiar' to something else these days. Whether folks liked it or not wasn't what I was talking about.  ::)

I just picked it up on Antenociti's Facebook that the Harrier is just one part of a planned KS aimed at funding dropships, possibly as many as 6 different designs, and additional gunships (rumour says 8 of these) to support them as well... o_o

The latest 2 aircraft concepts can be seen in G.O.T archive, along with some other mighty interesting stuff:
