I've had this model hanging around for a while, finally painted it, but can't recall who made it - any ideas?

Just looked again. Curtis has two versions on his website and it definitely looks like this one.

Ahhh that rings a bell... Thanks!
The production models now looks like this:

Originally it was like this:

It's a massive chunk o'model. I think there must have been casting problems with the massive screw, so it was modified.
Thanks again!

Thanks! That tip gives me another direction to go with my GI Joe M.O.L.E.s!
I've been looking at plastic wall anchors.

The original mold broke and the original model was damaged in the mold making, so there was done a new version with a new drill piece.
I think the new drill was inspired by the Squat termite model. At least that is what I like to think, since I made the suggestion to Curtis lol

Yeah, it was me. Nice paint job by the way!
It was originally a commission, although the guy who wanted it was happy for me to go ahead and sell it commercially.
The mould on the first one, the painted example on the shop, it burned out really quickly, after about 15 casts, and as said above the master got knackered during mould making. I also get some feedback on it, and so made the second version. I really need to put up a better painted phot on the web site!
I keep getting people saying I should make an entire "out of the ground" version, along with a carrier for it, but I just cant summon the enthusiasm.....
There are some other painted versions on my gallery, if you fancy a look:

If I were doing as much buying as I am longing, I'd say you should. And, one ass-in-the-air, as if about to descend. Perfect for 'evade pursuers, get back to the machine and escape'!
You won't pay the bills on my dreamin'...

Ironclad Miniatures do a Tunnelling machine, on its carriage, in their Victorian Sci Fi steam tank range.
