Title: paint jobs
Post by: mindfad on 13 December 2012, 10:34:45 PM
Im just about to start painting for the first time. I have some heroclix and i was wondering what causes this terribly gleam on the the figures:

The example is a good, noone figure here gleam and look way better so was curious so i could avoid making that mistake.

I wouldn't worry about it.

I think its probably caused by the cheap paint on the figure and being photographed under harsh lighting. If you repaint your figures and give them a coat of matt varnish when you are finished you shouldn't have the same problem.  :)

I think that that model was painted in gloss black
deliberately, it's supposed to represent shiny latex
in the costume, there are a few heroclix models where
The factory finish is gloss like that,

I think the same. I have this miniature and it is shiny too as other Heroclix are not.
