Title: VBCW question: Royalist colours
Post by: pocoloco on December 16, 2012, 07:24:44 PM
Hi,

slowly starting to paint my Edwardian Royalists for VBCW but since I don't have (yet) any of the sourcebooks for it, asking some guidance regarding the colours for Edwardian side.

Do the have any armband colours etc to distinguish them from BUF, Anglican, Georgian etc side?

Many thanks for tips, hints and suggestions.

Most units have their 1918 service dress with some having elements of 1937 webbing and battledress. Some Guards wear their ceremonial items like the grey greatcoat and dark blue service caps. Ghurkas have a mixture of khaki and rifle green uniforms. Their armbands are white.

Much obliged for the info. Great thing that I got some Gurkhas as well.

I use standard colours for all my regulars, so they can still be used for other periods.

Yip, should consider that option as well but then again the fellows would look good sporting proper armbands as well.

Many thanks for that PK, came across it on the VBCW forum as well :) Very useful, will be going maybe mixed white-and-blue armbands for all of them.
