Can anyone recommend an online source for photos of the French countryside during WWII?

I'm sorry there is no such site cause there is no typical French countryside : too much different landscapes even if It (?)'s a small country (maybe that's why it's the first touristic destination in the world  :mrgreen: ).

Nothing compare Vendée :

So, I think you should use google image to find what you're looking for, with simple word as "bocage" for exemple :

And for Normandie after D-Day, you could search here :

I should have indeed been more precise :-)

Mostly looking for photos of Normandy and the surrounding areas and mostly interested in what a village and farmlands in the area would look like
