He´ll have to be released...it appears he´d been framed   :)

The metal of the cage has great texture and is beautifully painted. Really looks like old hammered iron. Excellent.

Sweet! Do you have a work in progress picture so we can steal your excellent idea?

I´ve built another and photographed each stage and I´m working on a "how to"
it should be ready by tomorrow...and I´ve discoverd that it can be used for other things as well  :)

Excellent , how did you handle the background, very convincing.

Pure luck. :) The background is cut from a magazine and just propped up (tilted slightly backwards from the camera) as a background..and the camera set on macro with the  lowest light setting, flash deactivated. Through the view finder it looks like your taking a picture in the dark....there´s virtually nothing visible.
Took about 10 attempts to get one looking half decent  :)

Cracking idea and very well explained, I must try something similar. This is what I love about this forum the easy exchange of ideas.

It took a long time to make (it was a bit complicated to explain) but I´ve now made an "how to" HERE (http://paulsbods.blogspot.de/2013/01/medieval-gibbet-how-to.html)
